SUMMARY:Carol Concert
DESCRIPTION:Reading Phoenix Choir will bring you a selection of well known 
 and lesser known music of the Christmas season that we hope you will enjoy
  hearing.\n\nAs usual we have asked a local charity to be present at this 
 concert. This year\, the choir members have chosen Team Charlie to be our 
 Carol Concert Charity.\n\n\n\nTeam Charlie is a registered voluntary-run c
 harity\, set up in tribute to Charlie Ilsley\, that is relieving the need
 s of families and carers of children living in the UK who have been diagno
 sed with cancer by offering vital holiday respite at Charlie's Retreat. Th
 is gives them the opportunity to create a positive experience and the chan
 ce to make memories together.\n\n​The pressure on families caring for a 
 seriously ill child with complex needs is immense. The burden of caring fo
 r a child 24/7 and the knowledge that your child will die young can be too
  much to bear\, so having access to regular short breaks is vital to relie
 ve this stress\, spend time as a family and do the things that other famil
 ies do. \n\n​No one knows this more than Toni\, Charlie's mum\, who was 
 eternally grateful to the charities which supported them when Charlie was 
 sick. Through Team Charlie\, she now wants to pay that back.\n\nTeam Charl
 ie offers breaks away to their beneficiaries and their families to create 
 a positive experience and to provide an opportunity to make memories. 100%
