The concert is in aid of Refugee Support Group (RSG).
RSG has been helping refugees rebuild their lives in Berkshire since 1994.
A word from RSG:
We’re thrilled to announce our first-ever Christmas concert in Newbury, where we’ve proudly been working for over a decade. From experience, I know that the incredible Reading Phoenix Choir will deliver a truly magical evening of music to launch the festive season, and we’re immensely grateful to them for supporting us.
Now, more than ever, we need to come together to show unity and support for vulnerable members of our community, including our refugee clients. Funds raised from the concert will directly support our essential services, such as our drop-in centres. These centres lie at the heart of our work, offering three weekly sessions where clients can connect, access vital support, and build meaningful relationships within the local community.
In addition, we also provide:
- Free legal advice & holistic support to people seeking asylum.
- We provide a safe space and promote integration with our drop-in centre, social activities, language classes & wrap-around support.
- We campaign and advocate for the rights of refugees.
- We offer a comprehensive range of services to refugees arriving through resettlement schemes from Afghanistan, Syria and Ukraine.
